Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: December 10, 2025
Last Updated: December 8, 2025

1. WELCOME TO THE GRIPPERY!

Thanks for choosing us for your golf grip needs! By using our website, placing an order, or working with us, you're agreeing to these terms. We know legal stuff can be dry, but we've tried to make this as clear as possible.

Quick heads up: You need to be at least 18 to use our services. We might update these terms occasionally (we'll post any changes on our website), and by continuing to use our services, you're cool with any updates. Don't worry - clicking "agree" on our website is just as valid as signing a paper contract.

2. OUR SERVICES AND WHAT THEY COST

2.1. Pricing Made Simple

All prices on our website include both the grip and our installation service (2-3 business day turnaround). What you see is what you pay - no hidden fees! We do reserve the right to adjust prices (hey, costs change!), but any price you see when you place your order is locked in for that order.

2.2. Want It Faster? Try Rapid Regrip!

Our Rapid Regrip service gets your clubs back to you in just 1 business day for an extra fee. Just remember - this upgrade fee is non-refundable, and you'll need to pick up your clubs within 72 hours of our notification. If you're running late, no worries, but we might need to charge a small storage fee ($5 per day per set) after that 72-hour window.

2.3. Partner Location Convenience

We work with some great partner locations (like your country club) to make drop-off and pickup super convenient for you. Here's how it works:

We'll Keep You Posted: You'll get a text or email when your clubs are ready, with all the pickup details.

Your Responsibility: Once we notify you and 72 hours pass, your clubs become your responsibility to collect.

Important Note: Partner locations might not have insurance covering your equipment, so you might want to check with them or your own insurance. We're not responsible for what happens at partner locations, but we'll do our best to work with reliable partners.

3. CUSTOM & SPECIALTY GRIPS

3.1. Custom & Speciality Grip Orders; Deposits

For grips that are not listed under our In Stock & Ready Grips, you will need to provide a 50% non-refundable deposit with your order. These grips are located under the “Custom & Specialty Grips: Order Ahead” category. This helps us cover the costs of ordering your specific grips from our suppliers. If you prefer to order your grips through a different retailer, you still can! Just schedule a Bring Your Own Grip (“BYOG”) appointment and we’ll throw them on.

3.2. Changed Your Mind?

We get it - sometimes plans change. But once we've ordered Custom &  Specialty Grips from our supplier, that 50% deposit covers our costs and can't be refunded. The only exception? If something crazy happens on our end that prevents us from getting your grips (like a natural disaster affecting our suppliers or our supplier alerts us they are out of stock after accepting the order).

3.3. Timing Isn't Always Perfect

Custom & Speciality Grips order timing is our best estimate, but sometimes suppliers have delays. We'll keep you updated, but please be patient with us - we're at the mercy of manufacturers and shipping companies sometimes!

4. WHAT WE'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR (AND WHAT WE'RE NOT)

4.1. We're Careful, But Golf Clubs Aren't Indestructible

We treat your clubs with professional care, but grip removal can sometimes leave minor marks. Here's what's normal and what's not our responsibility:

Normal Wear from Service: Surface scratches under 1/8 inch, adhesive marks, or minor finish variations that don't affect how your club plays - and only if the damage is worth less than $50 per club.

Pre-existing Issues: If your clubs already had damage that we didn't document when you dropped them off.

Surprises: If you forgot to mention previous repairs or modifications to your clubs.

Documentation: We'll photograph any obvious damage we see when you bring your clubs in, and we're happy to do this for any club if you ask. If something does go wrong due to our mistake, we'll cover up to what you paid for the installation.

4.2. Grip Quality - That's on the Manufacturer

We source our grips directly from manufacturers and their authorized distributors, but we don't make the grips ourselves. If you have issues with grip quality or defects, you'll need to work directly with the manufacturer (Golf Pride, SuperStroke, etc.). We're happy to help with paperwork and documentation to support your warranty claim!

4.3. Play Safe Out There!

Once we've properly installed your grips, how you use your clubs is up to you. We're not responsible for normal wear and tear, how different grips might feel, or injuries from regular golf activities. Of course, if we messed up the installation and that caused a problem, that's on us.

5. WEBSITE STUFF AND YOUR PRIVACY

5.1. Our Website

We do our best to keep our website running smoothly, but technology isn't perfect. We're not responsible if the website has hiccups that affect your order.

5.2. Play Nice Online

Please don't try to hack our website, use bots, or do anything that might mess with other people's experience. Just be cool!

5.3. Your Privacy Matters

We take your privacy seriously - check out our Privacy Policy at www.thegrippery.com/privacy for all the details. We use some trusted partners (Square, Jotform, Google, Squarespace) to help run our business, and they have their own privacy policies too.

5.4. Our Creative Stuff

"The Grippery" and "Rapid Regrip" are our trademarks, and our installation methods, business processes, and website content are our intellectual property. We work hard to build our brand and develop our services, so please respect our rights.

You agree not to:
• Copy or imitate our business model or service methods
• Use our trademarks or confusingly similar names
• Access or use our customer lists or contact information
• Reproduce our website content, designs, or proprietary processes

We take protection of our intellectual property seriously and will enforce our rights when necessary.

6. KEEPING THINGS RUNNING SMOOTHLY

6.1. We Might Say No Sometimes

If your clubs need specialized work we don't do, we'll let you know before starting anything. It's better to be honest upfront!

6.2. Staying in Touch

We'll contact you via email or text using the info you give us, so please keep it current. When we send you a message, we'll assume you got it.

6.3. Sometimes We Need to Part Ways

We reserve the right to stop working with customers who are abusive to our team, repeatedly don't pay, or create safety concerns. We hope it never comes to that!

6.4. When Life Happens

Sometimes things beyond our control happen - natural disasters, supplier problems, shipping delays lasting more than two weeks. We'll do our best to work with you when these situations arise.

7. IF WE DISAGREE ABOUT SOMETHING

7.1. Let's Talk It Out First

For smaller disputes (under $10,000), we'd prefer to try mediation before anyone calls a lawyer. It's usually faster and cheaper for everyone.

7.2. The Legal Stuff

We're a Massachusetts business, so Massachusetts law applies. If we end up in court, it'll be in Bristol County. Don't worry though - your consumer rights under Massachusetts law are still protected.

7.3. Don't Wait Too Long

If you have a complaint about our work, please let us know within 30 days of when we completed your service.

8. MAKING THINGS ACCESSIBLE

8.1. Golf is for Everyone

If you have trouble using our website due to accessibility issues, please reach out by calling 413-247-4763 and we'll help you place your order.

8.2. Digital Signatures Count

Clicking "agree" on our website is legally the same as signing a paper contract - just so you know!

9. THE FINE PRINT

9.1. If Part of This Doesn't Work

If a court decides one part of these terms isn't enforceable, the rest still applies.

9.2. This Is Our Complete Agreement

These terms, plus our Privacy Policy, are our complete agreement. They replace any previous agreements we might have had.

9.3. Business Changes

You can't transfer your agreement with us to someone else, but we might transfer ours if we sell the business.

Thanks for reading all the way through! We know legal documents aren't the most exciting read, but we believe in being transparent about how we do business. If you have any questions about these terms, just ask - we're here to help make your golf grip experience as smooth as possible.
